You’ve seen the real housewives of Orange County, New York City, and Atlanta. Now, say hello to the real housewives of New Jersey. This reality documentary series follows the lives of several affluent, well-to-do women as they go about their lives in their upscale New Jersey community. Viewers get to watch these confidant and upper crust women as they interact with each other, manage their homes and families and, of course, shop. These housewives are a varied cast with lots of personality that is compelling to watch, whether or not they are planning a party, taking their kids to school or having arguments and fallings-out with each other. Amongst the New Jersey housewives are Teresa Giudice, a fashion writer and cookbook author, married to her husband Joe, with whom she has several daughters. Jacqueline Laurita is married to Chris Laurita, with whom she has three sons. Caroline Manzo, a fierce defender of her family, is married to catering and event center owner Albert Manzo, and she herself owns a real estate company and a line of children’s accessories. All of these women have their own personalities that sometimes clash with those of the others, and all of them go through life in their own unique way, not taking anything lightly or sitting down or backing down from a challenge. Viewers follow the housewives of New Jersey as they enter business ventures, try to help their kids get ahead in the world and at school, and deal with family conflicts and other issues. The housewives don’t always get along with each other or with their husbands and the arguments that arise are always interesting to watch just to see who ends up coming out on top. With such over-the-top personalities as the Real Housewives exhibit, you’re never sure what’s going to happen next.
