The series Charmed aired on The WB from 1998 to 2006, eight seasons full of witchcraft, demons, love, and loss for the 3 sisters involved. The show centers on 3 sisters who discover that they are descended from a long line of Halliwell witches. They then discover that together they are “The Charmed Ones,” destined to be the most powerful witches in the world. Each sister has a magical gift that she is supposed to use to fight demons and the evil in the world. The show follows each girl as she learns how to control her powers; learns the meaning behind the Wiccan beliefs that their family has practiced for centuries, and faces the everyday triumphs and heartbreaks of being a young single woman and a powerful witch. The three sister’s Phoebe, Piper, and Prue Halliwell haven’t always gotten along. When they are drawn back to their ancestral home, Phoebe goes up into the attic and in the process unleashes the powers that each girl is supposed to inherit. Phoebe has the power of telling the future, Prue has the power to move things with her mind and Piper has the ability to stop time. Each girl’s powers grow as the season’s progress and at some point one or all of the girls are tempted to quit being “The Charmed Ones.” However, knowing now the evil that is out there, in the form of demons, warlocks, and even the source of all evil, every one of them comes back to the Halliwell manor to keep fighting for the good in the world. Charmed is one of the best and most popular shows that The WB has ever aired and many viewers were sad to see it end. From the heartbreaks of being a witch and having to keep secrets from the men in their lives, to telling the men they loved their secrets and being accepted or rebuffed because of them, the sisters always stood strong and saved the world by relying on “The Power Of Three.”
